About Multilayer Board
Multilayer boards stack three or more copper layers with core and prepreg between them. Dedicated ground and power planes cut noise and make controlled impedance possible, and the extra routing layers let complex circuits fit on a smaller board.
Our partner factories build multilayer boards from 4 to more than 40 layers, with copper up to 10 oz, blind and buried vias, and finishes including lead-free HASL and immersion gold.

Common questions
How many layers does my board need?
It depends on routing density, BGA pin count and signal-integrity needs. Many designs use 4 or 6 layers, while high-speed and large-BGA boards often need 8 or more. Send your design and we can help review the stack-up.
Can you control impedance on multilayer boards?
Yes. Give us the target impedance and the traces or layers it applies to, and the stack-up is adjusted to meet it.
